Excellence in power supply technologies

In order to fulfill the needs of the marine sector, WEG offers a full line of dry-type transformers. The windings of these transformers are encapsulated with high quality epoxy resin by means of the vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process, which provides a safer construction for increasingly smaller spaces, where the costs of installation and maintenance and repair shutdown play a critical role in the selection of the product. WEG dry transformers are the preferred option for reduced spaces, since they do not present any risk of explosion and do not allow fire propagation.

Coatings that offer full protection

Coatings for the painting and conservation of constructions and vessels located in marine and/or river environments, for large and small tourism vessels, offering protection, resistance and aesthetics. A wide range of products for several marine applications, from primers for steel sheets to high build epoxy anti-corrosive coatings and high performance anti-fouling systems, which ensure maintenance intervals in the docks up to five years.

WEG products and systems are designed to comply with all marine applications requirements. Upon request, all these products can be supplied with test certificates of Certification Bodies such as ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV, Germanisher Loyds, Lloyd’s Registers, among others.
