CT Axial Flow Reaction Turbine

The TGM axial flow reaction turbine is the latest improvement about condensing axial-exhausted steam turbine with external bearing. The under axial exhaust keeps the rear machine journal bearing isolated outside the turbine carcass, which doesn’t occurs in a conventional axial turbine.

This innovation provides access to the rear bearing of the turbine without entering the exhaust steam pipe and without stopping the vacuum system, as well as it facilitates better monitoring and verification of the bearings, reducing, thus, the risk of work-related injuries, equipment maintenance time loss and the infrastructure costs.
